The software actually utilises a lot of freeware commandline utils like fmpeg & rtmpdump to name a couple, converting the file on the fly, sending the compatible format to your TV. the difference in quality is praactically unnoticeable.
Now the really, REALLY bad news...
I didn\'t think twice, I bought this software after trialling it.
The license is a wierd and very unfriendly system. You must buy an activation code for each device.You give the device code(MAc Code)from the TV,you get an activation code.PROBLEM:My Samsung TV updated its firmware last week.This rendered the TV with a different MAC code.The license no longer worked.The creator flat out refuses to believe this,although other users on his \'support\'forum had the same problem.He sais Samsung wld not do such a thing! We complained to him and the result?
Banned from the support forum! All the threads with any info on this SamsungTV prob have been deleted.
